Gigabyte DS3 OC'ing an X6800

First of all, can a DS3 overclock an X6800?(<Probably can but, rather ask) If so, what can it get one to run at?

Don't you think Gigabyte should release a DS3 Special Edition or something of that nature?

Thanks

It can, and it will run at what it runs at. The limit will be the processor, not the motherboard. Maybe around 3.5-3.7 or so, or up to 3.9 with better cooling.

It needs to be for a photo-editing PC. For Photoshop CS2 and some Schedule and Accounting Programs. I told the owner of the biz that she doesn't need an X6800, I tried to get her to get an E6600.

If it is a computer for a business why OC at all? It is their money, I wouldn't want to void the warranty or fry something and than be expected to pay for it because I can't return it because the guy who made it decided to OC it.

Well....they want better performance, warranty<who needs a warranty. Besides, the biz owner is my aunt. As I said before, I told her the E6600 is a good CPU, I wouldn't OC but I was trying to make it look better than what Alienware's $5500 PC had to offer.
