Ok so wat would be better? the I-ram or a ram drive with the memory on your computer?, from what i understand the I-ram can only support 4gig of ddr400 ram, and some motherboards support 8 - 16gb of memory(and i think i've seen 32bg) and thats ddr2 ram wouldn't that be faster if u made your own ram-drive from your motherboard, ok and even if you didnt have ddr2 supported motherboard isn't it still better just filling up ur normal ram slots wif ram?, cause I'm sure most motherboards that support sata should support atleast 4gb of ram...

so ....

The gigabyte I-RAM wouldn't lose it's data when you power off your PC, a conventional RAM drive does. So if you want to store stuff on it somewhat permamently, the I-RAM is what you'd have to use.

but i mean .. is it worth it for only 4gb of storage ... to load 4gigs worth of stuff into a ram drive(like off your mobo ram) would only take like a few mins...

Yes it wouldn't take that long but if you had to do it every time you rebooted or cold started it would be annoying.
