Gigabyte M1405M ultraslim good?

Looking to buy this. I need a decent, cheap portable that'll last a good while on the battery, however I find netbooks rather awkward to type on (the screen size isn't exactly a bonus either though I can live with it). They aren't out of question, of course, but this laptop seems perfect (and is pretty damn cheap too). Problem is, I've never owned, used or even seen a Gigabyte laptop. Does anyone know if this one (or GB laptops in general) is any good?

It's damn next to impossible to find reviews for this thing.

A family friend I know is buying one next week. I'll be clearing any crapware off it and making sure it's sturdy, because it's going to end up as a dvd player for her kids. Their last laptop got dropped and stopped working...
