Gigabyte mobo opinions

That first Gigabyte is one hell of a motherboard for that price.. almost to good to be true, but looking at the reviews on NewEgg, that motherboard seems like a great choice. I might get myself one.

Yes, your graphics card choice will work with it, just make sure you have the proper ratings on your power supply to power the card.

That motherboard is a beast. If you don't plan on going crossfire/sli than save a few bucks and get the UD3R, here is an open box one. It is the same mobo just one pci-e x16 slot. This mobo(UD3P,UD3R) is a beast for OCing. FSB at 500+ is no problem on it. At stock speeds it is very rock solid and runs cool. If I was going intel Core 2 this would be my only choice at the moment.

+1 That is a amazing price for a great P45 board

i have one. comparing it to an asus board, there is less tuning options, but it also requires less tuning the get the same clocks :). go for it

yeah, im just gonna get it, and im never getting a Foxconn mobo again lol. my old mobo didnt even recognize my cpu till i put a ton more thermal compound on it and all of the plugs and stuff are too far away for like my fans and everything to reach.

open box... as in used?

Gigabyte motherboards have always been beastly or at least the ones with the solid capacitors. I remember the 965P-DS3's from a couple years back when the Core 2 Duo CPU's came out, those things were awesome. I'd recommend that board, maybe not an open box because it's a gamble with open box components.

You're gonna hate me for telling you this. Intel, Gigabyte and other motherboard companies rebrand components and sometimes entire boards(mostly Intel) from Foxconn. :P
