I only have had experience with 2, and there only problem is the damn lan drivers!

I finally realized the problem is my motherboard and I'm trying to help make people realize that if you want to play games where ping matters please don't buy them.

the first motherboard I was actually able to fix the issue, but it was really annoying and drove me crazy my 2nd motherboard which was newer and more expensive just has this problem and I could not fix it. z77x-d3h other people have confirmed that the newest lan driver that was released on f10 made it shit, any lower and hopefully yours will work but if you do update to f10 or higher going back down will not fix it apparently. (btw the problem with it is that you will get randomly dropped..)

Now I need to decide whether to buy a whole new mobo.. just for that reason (and cause I hate gigabyte now) or just a intel nic.. hmm

Hope this information helps some gamers decide!

My first board was a Gigabyte board, some old Socket 939 thing I think, It was notorious for BIOS issues, settings not sticking, POST errors etc, I tried many new batteries and that, then one day it just didn't boot.

I always used to buy ASUS boards, as they were the next step down from DFI, and the quality was always good.

Things seem to have changed now though, my last ASUS was DOA, when I went to get a replacement there was no supply, so I switched to Gigabyte.

All the GB boards I have tried since say 2007 have been excellent performers, and I've had about 5 of them now, I never have any driver issues either

I've built and used tons of machines with Gigabyte boards. My UD5 board in my main computer has had no issues whatsoever.

My GA-B75 works great.

What chipset was yours? Hmm... I notice you said Z77, was that it?
