I am upgrading a motherboard and I was wondering if anybody had any knowledge on either of these boards and which is the better choice:

1. GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-DS4H AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
2. ASUS M3N72-D AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
3. MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

I like Gigabyte better. My luck with MSI boards have been 50/50. With AMD boards I stick with Gigabyte/Asus or DFI. But those two you picked out, one is a SLI board, one is a Crossfire. Gigabyte makes a 750a SLI board too.

You need to make up your mind if you want SLI or CF.

Gigabyte is definitely the better brand out of those two, MSI is more of a low-end budget manufacturer, usually they manufacture boards for OEMs rather than retail buyers.

MSI

purchased one, planning on purchasing another for a friend and will continue to buy them theyre great boards and dont cost alot.
