Glitchy LCD

Hey, i have an LCD monitor and recently occasionally notice what appears to be a glitchy line flash horizontally across my screen. it happens often when opening a large program/game and sometimes just when do simple tasks. its hard to explain what i see but it just seems to flick once really fast.

specs:

Pentium D 2.8 GHz
EVGA 7950GT 512mb [not overclocked]
2GB RAM
Samsung SyncMaster 920n

do u have the proper drives installed on the system

if you do, unplug both ends of the video cable (the blue one) from the monitor and the computer. Look inside them and make sure no pins are bent
Does the flickering problem only occur with this monitor or with others as well?

Do you have a cell phone near your monitor? haha, My phone gives me that problem sometime, I couldn't figure out what was causing it for the life of me. Let us know what you think.

ooooooo i figured out the source of the problem but i'm not really sure whats causing it. i have this water dispenser (you know one of the machines with the big blue water bottles on top lol) in the same room as my computer maybe 10 feet away, and it has a cooling system we turned on to cool the water and every time it runs/turns off it causes the flicker. i just noticed it now. someone suggested that it was a power factor, every time it starts up not enough power gets to my monitor, but that seems kinda sketchy so maybe its some kinda of interference, but i really have no idea lol. but now that i know what it is and i know it isn't a hardware problem i don't really think i will do anything to fix it, as long as it doesn't damage my monitor or anything.
