Gmail and Thunderbird

I've got a lot of emails on my Gmail account that aren't in Thunderbird, because I had to reformat my hdd, is there a way to get those emails in Thunderbird?

Thunderbird is the software I use for my emails, it's like Outlook, but then from Mozilla instead of Microsoft

set up your gmail aco**** in thunderbird as you would with other email addresses. then check your email with thunderbird. BUT look in the options, because i think (by default) it takes the emails off of the gmail server

Yeah thx, I found it, I had to activate POP for all the emails on the gmail server, apparently it remembers which ones have already been downloaded.
