It's possible. I just did a one day old HP last night for a client that just hated Vista. HP doesn't offer XP drivers for those models, so with some detective work and modifying I was able to load XP with drivers for all his devices...in three hours. Mind you, at the last minute I was working on it as I was walking to my car to deliver it to him, and even part way down the street. It was kinda funny.
