Hello all, new member here

As the title says; Im going to get a new laptop soon and I want to know about this SPEC

ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics
Provide 128MB display cache memory, 128MB GDDR2 sideport memory and up to 1534MB total graphics memory

So does it mean that I can share up to 1256MB of memory with the video or???

TIA

im not really sure what you mean the total graphics memory is made up from the dedicated memory from the gpu and memory that is taken from you ram, or shared, this means if your using the graphics alot it will take memory from your ram to boost performance

My initial thought was 15xxMB of memory from the system 3GB shareable...

If thats the case then wtf is all this? "Provide 128MB display cache memory, 128MB GDDR2 sideport memory and up to 1534MB total graphics memory"

128MB Sideport?
upto 1534 total? Total what? Sideport? Shareable?

Ive worked with other laptops recently that has graphic specs along these lines. EX, one states upto 15xxMB of video memory, yet in the BIOS I cant change it from 128MB... And windows reports 256MB...?

I also want to ask how well can the HD 4200 play games? Im looking at playing Fallout3, Mass Effect etc...
