Good apps for macs?

I am getting osx snowleopard hopefully. What are some good programs? And what is a good security program? I really like MSSE, but obviously that won't work.

I would start by learning Unix, specially Apple's take on Unix

A good security program for OSX is your brain and not allowing stuff you're not sure of to run as root or in fact any elevated position within the OS, this MBP has had no A/V for a year and hasn't had a single virus!
