good as slave?

k so my house comp has a 30gb hard drive and thats the only thing making my comp so slow...im pretty sure thats it....anyway i dont have a winxp cd to install on new hard drive so i was wondering about using this one as a slave...

And what make and model drive is this? With a new drive being used as a slave you will first have to partition and format it before you can copy or move files and data back and forth to and from it. These processes make any new drive accessible. Meanwhile the price on copies of both XP Pro and Home versions(full install) have fallen greatly. You may want to consider buying one if you are not planning to move upto VIsta anytime soon.
