oh and

btw power supply does not have to support sli cuz im gonna run one graphics card after i build everything and switch power supply when doing sli but i want the power supply to be energy efficent it could be sli tho but doesnt have to be long as it can run pci express 16x

Thanks

thanks i think imma go for that case cuz in my room where i keep my computer it be like 100 degrees when its the hottest day of the year lol

question

the power supply is that gonna be on the floor or something? with this build i dont know about that looks like the power supply slot is on the bottom in one of the photos or is it upside down? cuz my build looks lil different to me and its more traditional like but it is kinda fancy

The power supply is located at the bottom in the antec 900 case.

This is usually to help keep things tidy in there.

Just put it in as normal i guess. The power cables will still run to your motherboard no matter where it is.

oh ok

well i was gonna use a sli motherboard would i have room for graphics cards and stuff and will i have to put it in there a certain way for all that

i got new question

didnt want to repost a whole new thread so i figured i should ask here umm i dont have corsair power supply money right now eventhough id love to get that what psu would you go with that will be better then the one i got cuz i hear the one i got isnt as good as it could be and im wondering if theres anything under the corsair 650watt psu price that will do my 260 GTX justice

thanks

so with 2 12v rails im getting 50 amps altogether right i just want to make sure cuz my video card needs minimum of 36 amps i just want to make sure i be in the safe zone on that my current psu has 36 amps but i think thats cutting it close and might not be so safe

The OCZ has a total of 42 amps on the 12V rail. You dont just add up the rails on that unit. The 25 amps. on each rail is the max amount any (one) rail can pull at a time.

That one will be fine for a 260. The 260 doesnt pull 36 amps. The recommended 36 amps. is for the average system as a whole running that card.

Dont really like OCZ but it would run it fine.

I would get this instead.

jonnyguru tested the GX line and its ripple suppression was within ATX spec, but not super impressive.

This is what i would get:

Or, if you dont want a recertified unit:

They must have got a boat load of those PC P&C units. Oh, I got one the last time you showed me, few months ago. Runs just fine. Ran it for about a week and put it up as my own backup.

When i first saw them on their website they had about 100 in stock, now they are down to 24 in stock. Seems that their sales have slowed down on them.
