Good Dial-Up Modems

Just wanted to check and see if anyone has any particular brands or models of dial-up modems to recommend. Or any to stay away from for that matter. Don't really care one way or the other about any "Modem on Hold" or other junk (never use it), I just want a good reliable modem.
Thanks :)

If you want a reliable connection get dsl or cable.

Maybe you could talk U.S. Celluar into running a line out to my farm (they wouldn't listen to me), it's only 10 miles from town. ;)

what about sattelite?
Yep, I had considered it, but when I had DirecTV I would loose the signal every time so much as a cloud would roll by. Not to mention if it actually did rain. In my personal experience the reliability just wasn't there. If they would "Pro-Rate" the bill according to how much service you actually recieved, then maybe.

Just for the record, I did mean to say SBC earlier, obviously U.S. Cellular isn't my land-line supplier (long night, longer day).
