AVG Free has always worked very well for me. Even better than a full version of Symantec, IMHO...

Well I found this in my Hijack this log and googled it and it said it's a key logger..

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P17Helper] Rundll32 P17.dll,P17Helper

O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\RunOnce: [DefaultP17] P17Def.Exe (User 'SYSTEM')

Not always, P17Def.exe is also a Creative Sound file and if this is the case, it will be living in C:\Windows.

I don't currently have any creative products installed on my pc..

In that case please start a new thread in the security section of the forum posting the logs from the sticky.

Have you looked at where the file resides, windows system32 folder is where it will live if it is a nasty and windows folder if it is good.
