good freeware ftp type program

Does anyone know of any good free programs that will let you transfer files between to specific computers? I tried CC File, which was really cool but only a trial. I also have tirminal which is alright but you have to send an email with a link to the file, so I don't really like that one. Plus its really really slow. CC File is really nice, but I am hoping to get a freeware program that will do the same thing. Hopefully you know what I'm talking about. Thanks

it's lovely if you enjoy legal trouble

it's slow, cpu intensive, and ratios can go to hell
 
thanks, this is not for networking...its for me and a friend transferring files to eachother, we both are musicians and trade recorded files. We are looking for a fast effecient FTP Type of thing. I know FTP isnt the newest greatest thing, but Im saying something that works like FTP. Thanks
