good graphics card for me?

In order to know what you need to run GTA IV on high settings we first need to know in more depth of what system specifications you have.

Motherboard socket type:
CPU Name (eg i7 920):
Video Card currently:
Memory name and what socket ddr2/ddr3:
Power Supply Unit (What wattage is it):
Hard disk drive (how big is it and is it just a standard 7200 rpm drive):

If you don't know any of these things i suggest you download everest home and it will have all the information there in the program and you can just copy it over to your post.

you need at least a 300 series nvidia or a 5000 series ATI, higher end for both, so a 380 or 5850

...are you forgetting the 4000 series?,You dont need at least a 5000 series thats just silly,GTA IV came out way before the 5000 series lol.

To the OP,whats your budget and current power supply?

I wouldn't spend money on a 4000 series when there is 5000 series cards that are better for about the same cost. Plus 4000 series doesn't support DX11 and use more power. But yeah, lets see his specs.

Oh yeah without a doubt...if the OP can afford a decent 5000 series then why would he go with a 4000 series,All i was saying is that what DV83R said is not correct...GTA IV does not require at least a 5000 series.
