its preset to 2.4 and i was wondering if it is too much to OC it to 3.0?

Mayb eyou can OC it to 3GHz I don't know, I suppose it's possible, but you do know this is a S754 processor right? (just checking incase you bought a 939 board)

Have a look at the OC 101

As for hitting 3Ghz ... its doable but im doubtful.
