Good Mobo Brands

hey,

Was just wonderin what brands/makes of mobos are good? in Mobo 101 it just says which ones to avoid.

Also if any one knows of a specific motherboard thats good, or would be willing to help me look, heres what i need:

-LGA socket 775 FSB up to 1066mhz (must support celerons, C2D and dual pentium 4's also)
-PCI-E x16
-Onboard graphics
-DDR2 dual channel

Ive found one mobo that does all this for around apart from dual channeling for $71.63 (converted from GBP, or 36.37 GPB):

Plenty of motherboards are available at the moment, it all depends on what your preferred usage. Gamer, workstation, etc. If you're not in a hurry and still using the old PC, just wait for the new batch of mobo with 1333FSB + DDR3 memory modules.

Based on my experience, ASUS for me is the best mobo in terms of stability, reliability & quality.
 
sorry ye, + to be honest here is no point in me waitin for motherboards supporting 1333fsb and ddr3 modules, i wouldnt have the components to run in it anyway, and in response to a previous question id say im a casual gamer :D

If you are a casual gamer, I don't think that onboard graphics would be enough, well, if they are fairly modern games you play.

Also, look for a motherboard that has maybe 3 RAM slots minimum so that you have the option to add more in the future.
 
you could look at brands like evga asus and intel. they have really good motherboards that are usually SLI ready. The prices range a little higher though.
 
I usually look at Gigabyte first. I have had great luck with them. I just ordered a new system with a Gigabyte MB, Vid card and WiFi card.
 
MSI and ASUS are good brands

I prefer ASUS because they always make good products and their support is excellent and if you get a gaming mobo from ASUS most of then have the built in "nos" of automatic overclocking feature in them.
