Good Mobo VS Good CPU (not certain if this is the right place)

Would i be better off getting a
£60 Mobo + £60 CPU
Or
A £30 CPU and a £90 CPU?

Examples will follow

(Good Mobo + OK CPU)
C2D E4300 + Asus P5B Skt775
OR
C2D E4400 + Asus P5LD2 i945P


Thats just specific to my case, this is a general question, is it better to have a Lower-Mid Mobo + Lower-Mid CPU or V. Low-Low Mobo + Mid-Higher CPU

Well if you have a low mobo then even if you have the best CPU in the world your performance will be hugely cut due to the bad mobo.

So i would say mid mobo and low CPU. Then at least if you mid mobo isn't that bad you can over clock to make up for low CPU
