I'm looking for a good HDMI/DVI LCD high resolution monitor, preferably at 18-22". If you have any ideas please post them; thank you.

Just noticed I kinda have this in two places now T.T; anyways about 4,000 US the lower the better but I don't want to miss out on anything substantial.

+1, supporting every word.

Another good monitor is this one. Have it at home.

Looks good but I think the resolution can go much higher at the cost of an arm and a leg. I found this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...&cm_re=DVI_LCD_monitor-_-24-176-071-_-Product but because it's so large and the res is so high the price is jacked up through the roof.

Do you know if the Acer mounts can be tilted? They look solid, I know they can't move up and down but thats not as important to me.

ha ha well I have to work that money up Mx so any budget cuts are nice.

Yes the acer monitor i showed you tilts, quite a bit of the tilt. Umm it would be quite a bit cheaper if you went dual monitors, to form one big screen.

I found some 28 inch screens that look decent, for only 300 & 360, dual those things and youll have one cool set up...

Why do you want such a high res? Do you do a lot of photo/video editing?

1080p is quite a high res.

This is going to be my omega gaming computer, I have been running around with a Radeon x700 GC and 512mb RAM for the last 7 years; recently I upgraded to 2gigs but lets face it my systems still crap it's so old.

I will be getting a job soon and with christmas/birthday just around the bend I'll have lotsa money and not much to spend it on (high school student + amazing parents = free car + gas) so hopefully this rig will last me a long time.

I'm thinking the LG 23" their quality is alot better and it's only about 20$ more. The dual screen just seems annoying to me, having a bar in the middle of them would drive me up the wall.

I'll admit it is a bit bothering especially since it's a gaming rig, but I've used my friend's dual and you get used to it after a few hours. Especially if it's your first time going dual screen. I, personally would get a huge screen instead of a dual as well.

Yep trust me your get use to it real fast. i didnt like that idea at first, but now all i see is a nice 40' wide monitor set up :D
Same concept with my dead pixel, when i first got it that DAMND pixel was all i cared and thought about, after having it a year i dont even notice(it took me about a month to get over it)

I see i see, well LG's are nice, i personally would go with ACER, because of there price point and they are good build quality aswell.
