I need to put together a machine that is dedicated to running displays on a projector through an s-video connector. I am thinking that I will use a 7600GT for the graphics card, and ideally I would like to be able to totally dedicate that card to the projector display, as it will be playing video and all kinds of multimedia. So, I would like to find an LGA 775 motherboard that will fit that card, but can also use an on-board graphics adapter. That way, the on-board can be used to display the screen that the person running the show will see, and the 7600 can be dedicated to the projector, which everyone else will see. I know some motherboards disable the on-board graphics adapter when a pci-e card is inserted, so I am looking for one that I know will work for that purpose. What do you guys think, is this a good idea, or is there a better way to ensure good performance for this system?
