Good Motherboard

The NF4 Ultra is an NF4 SLI chip with a missing connection (can be modded to NF4 SLI) so the NF4 boards are pretty much all the same

I guess what I was saying is "it's the little things that make a difference". I personally never considered the board in question because I know which one I want but after I read the review I would tend to avoid it. But to each his own

I would take that review with a grain of salt, its a bit foolish testing memory performance on a board without a memory controller and Athlon64s don't have a FSB (which was apparently being OCd).

While the placement is fine, Chaintech left each end of the IDE connectors open. This could be a problem if you can't see what you are doing or line up an IDE or FDD cable wrong.
This is a complaint? Even if you can't see those connectors are keyed and lining up cables isn't a problem. Also the reviewer complains about memory cooling (has anyone overheated their RAM  ) and he has issues the I/O panel. And testing the video card performance as a measure of the board?

A nice feature is nVidia's Active Armor, which is an integrated hardware protection system that includes nVidia's firewall 2.0 utility. I really like this as alot of people just don't realize how important a firewall is until its too late. By actually including one in the package, Chaintech removes all your excuses, so when disaster strikes, you have no one to blame but yourself.
Unless I'm mistaken nVidia's hardware firewall is a part of the NF4 chipset and it would be difficult not to include this

Some NF4U boards are built from the ground-up ... some are stripped down NF4SLI boards (like the new Lanparty board) and hence are better candidates for modding. Granted of course this is the only exception I know of

All boards are not created equal
True but thats far too broad of a statement to be useful (hence I provided an actual counterexample)

LOL .... reminds me of the moron who decided it would be neato to have a power button that only turns the machine off it you hold it for an eternity....

Quite correct :) http://www.nvidia.com/page/nforce4.html
