could be... they don't say much about it though. depends on what you're looking for. i just bought this one because i wanted something that let the mouse move easier than my old mousepad and i wanted a cloth surface.

there are definitely better mousepads out there but this was the best i could find under $20 after shipping costs.

High quality mice have these really good feet that slide over anything (can't remember the name, it's at least 20 letters long ) so a mousepad is unnecessary.

If you are going to get one, make sure it has one of the gel wrist supports, they are quite good.
