I'm trying to figure out what I need to get in order to have a good gaming computer. If this was the wrong place to post this, I'm sorry. I can figure out how to build it,...I just dont know what I need. This is what I plan to get so far.

Video card
ASUS CuCore Series EAH5770 CuCore/2DI/1GD5 Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Power supply
CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

Intel Core i7

DDR3
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMP6GX3M3A1600C7

Cooler for the Intel Core i7
COOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler Intel Core i7 compatible

And thats all I can think of right now. I dont know what I should get for memory. And I dont know anything about cases.

Or if I am wrong about all this, what could I get in the $1K range for a good gaming system.

Please comment and thanks for the help.

Pretty good build, so far. Except, you don't need the 750W of power, unless you are going crossfire?

Where are you buying from? As in, country?

And this is the right place ;)

USA and whats crossfire?

Crossfire is a brand name for AMD Graphics Product Group' multi-GPU's. Also it is the technology that allows up to four GPUs to be used in a single computer to improve graphics performance.

Crossfire is usually for the use of putting two GPU's into your computer for ultra performance, but to do so you need a few special items, including a powerful PSU.
