My question is, can I replace the old card (Raedon 5770 HD) with this one: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130607
Stats (If I recall correctly) are is a 650 (750?) Watt power supply in it, with a Gigabyte GA-EP43T-UD3L Motherboard maxed with 8GB of ram. I simply don't have a need for gaming since I got my job, so I rather just give it to my mom so she can have nicer computer.
To keep a long story brief, I'm handing someone my old gaming computer, but I just need to replace the GFX card as it's fried (Or the Minidumps seems to confirm that). So instead of dealing with the whole ask the manufacture and whatnot, I'm just going to replace the GFX card and hope it's the problem. I really don't care about fixing it.
Don't care if it's not the latest/greatest/last gen or whatever, I Just need something simple to replace it in as the person I am giving it to (my mother) really only cares about using Microsoft Word / Facebook and still has a VGA monitor. I simply need to know if I can do this so that she can have it.
Thank you.
