Good temperature for 3870?

Hello I got my gpu and psu hooked up in my case and I have a mid tower so I'm a little worried about my temp in the case. My card idles around 55C and runs call of duty MW at about 76-80 C is that safe???

I have a visiontek Radeon HD 3870

Also if this is to hot does that mean I need a new heat sink for my card or just to toss some extra fans in there? I'm running it with the side of the case off for now...

Mine runs at 50 c idle and 62 c under load and mine's overclocked to GPU: 802 mhz and Memory: 1146 mhz. But I also have an 80 mm side fan sucking air out of my case and 2 more blowing air in from the back. Maybe blow any dust out of the heat sink if there is any. Can you hear the fan speed up when under load? Either way those temps. are normal, I think the max temp. on these is 100 c. If your really concerned then there's lot's of aftermarket coolers that are quite effective but will void your warranty.

Well I don't have any fans in the case other than the built in fan on the 3870 and the cpu fan. The card is brand new so I'm hoping it doesn't have dust in it already. But I'm getting those temps WITH the side off the case. When I run call of duty I can't here the fan working but when I run crysis I do. Did I mention I'm using a 300w power supply to cook this thing?

*edit*

By the way I get 800mhz and 1170 mhz on mine and it isn't overclocked. It's the visiontek model which from what I hear is slightly better than most 3870 models.

Here is a screenshot of my catalyst monitor...
