Hey guys,

I'm new here and don't know very much about computers so wanted some help.

My old crap PC just broke so i want to buy a new one but i'm on a very limited budget. I play a few games but nothing too demanding, mainly league of legends. Aside from this i mainly just use it for browsing and uni work etc.

For £270

This is the computer i've just ordered, I wanted to know whether it is good value for the money or whether i could of done better for running games? My max limit was around £300 so i couldn't really of spent much more.

Also, my other question is as this computer comes without an operating system what OS would i be best to put on this for gaming and basic surfing/uni work?

Thanks alot,

Connor

Onboard video won't play many games. Also your power supply is subpar so when you finally have the money to get a dedicated video card, you will need to upgrade that was well. You really needed to save more money before ordering parts. Would have actually chosen a different setup.

y u no research before ordering

What did you have before? What kind of games do you play?

It should play most 'light' things without too many issues. I ran Dirt3 on reasonable settings with a 5400K which has a lesser GPU and is a dual-core as opposed to your quad. The APU iGPU are a lot better than traditional integrated-class video chipsets although they are still rather lower end.

Like others have said. Needs a video card and maybe a power supply depending on what card you get. As far as a OS goes, Windows 7 or 8.1 64bit.

Its usually better to ask about the parts before you buy.

It's plenty for League of Legends, it can be run on a toaster.
That being said, I think it could've been better.
I would recommend Windows 7 x64, as I don't like Windows 8 :)

I like windows 7 but it's a personal preference thing, just make sure it's 64bit since if it's 32 not all the ram will be usable. i'd also get a cheap graphics card if i were you.
