Good wireless signal, no good connection

I have a wireless Router, One PC connect directly no problem, the other PC has a wireless card.
I can connect wirelessly, and the signal is Verygood, 4 0f 5 bars, and the Quality is excellent.
But I can't get the internet. The little monitors that show the transfer signal only blinks once or twice when I click internet explorer.
It should be flashing or on constant, but it only flashes a couple of times.

With a great signal and an excellent conection I should be blazing fast but I can't even get online.

I have DSL 6.0 running at 5.98 99% of the time. Windows XP on both PCs.

Any ideas?
 
internet explorer 8 on both PCs
I can't ping on the Wireless PC since I can't get anymore than a blink or less on the cannection.

I am connected but that's all nothing in or out.
 
So you have opened a command prompt and typed ping www.yahoo.com or another address and received errors? Trying to determine if its a browser issue or windows issue. Have you tried deleting the wireless connection and set it back up again?
 
Ping doesn't work and I have deleted the connection and reinstalled- fail

If I download mozilla an the pc that works and install on the wireless would that make a difference?

What's never tried is always learned..
 
If pinging doesn't work then it could be the wireless driver or card itself. What card is it?
