Google not responding

Is anyone out there having problems with google not responding? It is happening all too frequently now and it never used to. I don't understand what has changed.
Also, very often(not always) when I click the back button I just get a blank page and nothing more which means I have to start again on the google homepage, which is a hassle.
I run Vista Home Premium and have just done a thorough scan and used Ccleaner on the registry so have got rid of some rubbish but it is still, on occasions, not responding.
Any help please much appreciated.

What browser are you using? Have you scanned your system for malware lately using malwarebytes?
 
Do you mean it hangs while loading? I have been noticing that as well, and am not sure if it's something to do with me or Google. It's been very slow as well lately, and seemed to be completely not working for a few minutes yesterday.
 
Try to use bing for a while. If it behaves the same, then your internet provider keeps interupting your connection. If not, then your proxy server admin is playing tricks on you.
