I'm Building a game comp. later (Around The holiday times) But i decided it wouldn't matter to just get a keyboard now. I have three choices now but feel free to add more that you have experience with or just like.

Here are the links (i was going to get it from newegg but sometimes amazon's got it cheaper)

The Razer (haven't decided they look all the same thats why no link)

The Logitech G15

or the Microsoft Sidewinder x6

May want to take a look at the Saitek Cyborg while your at it.

As far as the G15 is concerned, i have the original(larger/blue backlight) and have no complaints, pretty decent keyboard and has lasted me awhile. I personally am not a fan of the razer keyboards as all of them have a "laptop" kinda feel imo.

i'm kind of used to the laptop feel ( i have a mac laptop and my mac keyboard is basically the same) though i guess i will have to get used to the big keys. I read the reviews of the saitek and it had pretty good reviews. Though the older logitech g15 that u have was said to be better then the newer one. Which LCD display is bigger (My eyes aren't that good so the bigger the better.)

New and old G15 have the same size...but the LCD is pretty useless. I have all sorts of apps for it and only use it once in awhile to check cpu temps.

After examining the keyboards i think the Saitek Cyborg is better, but theirs a few things about the saitek, the extra buttons seem to be flimsy and cheap plastic feel, though the logitech's screen isn't touch. How's the lighting difference between them?

I have the new series of G15 (orange back lighting) and I love it. Very solid feel to the keys. The LCD monitor on the keyboard works with all kinds of apps (Fraps, eVGA Precision, Windows Media Player...just to name a few)

Cant say much for the lighting on either of them, but iirc the saitek has better lighting.

Only real reason to get the G15 IMO is if you want the lcd screen.

well the only reason i need the display is for time and maybe cooling controls... is their anything that it can do in a game?

Framerates, Ammo status, stuff like that.

Basically...stuff that you can see in one of the corners of your computer screen, just instead of being focused on the game you look down away from the game and to your keyboard.

It's 11 bucks. i'm definitely getting extended warranty so newegg is 2 bucks more making the dell only two bucks more, and my dad's got a business card with dell which will make it even cheaper.

i ordered the dell one with 2 year extended warrenty and was pleasantly surprised that if u get warrenty shipping is free! Thanks for your help, hope to see u when i build the actual comp.

My personal favorite: The G11... it's got everything you actually need/want, and it looks great. G15 is ugly, G19 is expensive, Microsoft makes crap keyboards imo.

Sisters... they make you want to kill them. Lucky for me, my brain processes wants into actions.

I'll be offline for the rest of the night... funeral.

+1 for the G-15. I have the black/orange, and love it. I have never really used any of the features that make it a high price keyboard, but the performance monitor works great, the keys feel solid, back lighting is cool, etc. Definitely check it out.
