gpu comprabiblity

There's a lot of mixed views and results, but the general consensus is that, at least under Windows, setting up an ATi and NVIDIA GPU and having them actually work properly is a pain. Why would you want to anyways? The only "good" reason I can think of is PhysX, since you can't CF/SLI GPUs of different brands, and a working multi-monitor setup with mixed-brand GPUs is like juggling with chainsaws, except here you have a slightly lower chance of losing limbs.

EDIT: Regardless, it CAN be done, but whether it actually works or not usually seems to be a matter of luck.
