my uncle has a Mac PC that came with a ATI 9800 Pro, but now it is dead and he wants to get a replacement GPU of the same card or better. so we took a look around and the same kind of GPU cost about $300-$1000! i thought he will have a PCI-e x16 slot but when i look at the pins it a different form factor then a normal GPU.

i know nothing about GPU and i didnt bother telling him to get a PC and get Windows 7 because he is one of those people who will always think Macs are better because you do not get infected.
so is there really any GPU that can he fit with his i guess PCI slot? and he did told me something about G5 cards only work with his Mac PC.
or i told him to take off the fan ( if you look in the pic is really just a that small fan) and bake it and see if that works or RAM to ATI to get it fixed.
