GPU Overheating / Crashing Out, Help.

Hello all.

Well I have the card specified in my signature and basically when playing games, more frequent now than before, they seem to be crashing. I keep getting that VPU Recover thing pop up and when I check my temps for my card they read at no higher than 58C so I thought that was a safe temp for a card to be at under heavy load? I didn't think that the crash point was that low? I always assumed 65 - 70C was the danger zone? What else could be causing it to crash and recover apart from the temps?

How would I go about cooling the card down even more than it is already? I mean it's a very hot day here, the room is very warm as is the house. I have all the windows open to aid with it but it's not doing much. I've bodged an 80mm fan pointing downwards onto the card to try and cool it down that way but I'm not sure that will suffice. Are those temps ok? 60C under heavy load that is.

Any help / advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Rove.

60*c is well within normal operating condition, If that truly is it's temp it shouldn't be crashing because of it. Brings me to; What app are you using to monitor temps?

Recommendations.. Run http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745 and then reinstall latest drivers. Check to see that your PSU is not really the issue (by checking the Volt lines etc).
