I tried it, worked for like a week and happened again. I didn't use a thermometer. I ended up sending it to AQStech to do it, been using the system ever since without a hitch. That was like year and half ago..
the better way needs a reball work station with good temp control to reball the BGA chip. In addition, clear off those black glue around the chip before doing reball. put some black glue again after done.
