GPU-Z shows 8mb of memory?

well i wanted to see how gpu-z looks and opened it up on my laptop dell 1525 and it said that i have 8mb of memory?
 
More than likely it is 8MB dedicated memory and the rest would be dynamic, say up to 350MB (shared) system memory.
 
I think TFT is right, I've seen this before on other computers with intergrated graphics. On a side note I love how Dell disables the Windows Vista Sidebar and installs there own branded Rocket Dock. Bad bad bad Dell.

so is my computer ram always dedicated to the video or do i have to enable something?can you explain dedicated memory a bit?
 
It's sad that his Pixel Fillrate is better than mine lol mine's 3.7 GPixel/s but When I OC I get it to 5.0 but my Texture fillrate owns 7.3 GTexel/s(OCed to 11.0) :) 8500 GT for life :D (Until new computer)
 
Yeah, the intel gma takes memory from your system and uses as graphic memory. Take a look in your bios though, you may be able to up that to 32/64/128mb.
