i need to install a better graphics card then the one that came with my computer.. i'm not a gamer but i am going to install software that has a component that is like a game, it states that it requires at least ATI x800 the preinstalled says ATI Radeon express 200 is this the same numbering that is used when describing the ATI Radeon HD 3650 etc.?
What is the difference between the 3600 to 4800?
...also i'm not sure if my pc is PCIe x16 Gen 1.0 or 2.0...
i tried to call Emachine support but they couldn't tell me.. any ideas out there.. it's a Emachines t6410 amd athlon 64 3200+...
here's the link to my computer..

http://emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T Series&model=T6410#

would either one work? could i definatley use 1.0 and maybe/ not use 2.0? if it doesn't say on the specs.. is it probably 1.0?
also i had installed two 512 ram cards.. it states that it can handle 1 gb cards.. the software only requires 1gb.. should i upgrade to two 1gb cards?

sorry for so many questions...

thanks in advance for the help...

(this was posted as question about difference between ati 3000 to 4000's.. but this is more accurate description)

okay so i think that i've just about got it figured out... now can i run a GDDR 2 or 3 or does it matter... are there restrictions.. will some systems run only the two and not the three.. and some cards list DDR but not GDDR... these are two different things aren't they...

thanks for any input...
