windows update should provide you with all the updates you need

in all seriousness though, please explain more about what you would like to do with your computer, your current computer, whether you want a new computer or just to upgrade certain parts, etc.
 
If your computer is 7 years old its probably too outdated and there probably isn't much you can do to it. Never the less, list your computers specs.
