Graphic Drive Problem

Ok, so on my 'about computer' page it states that my processor is AMD A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics 2.00GHz but on my 'Directx diagnostic tool' it says that my Display card is Microsoft basic display adapter. Why didn't it use the AMD Radeon R5 graphic card??? Is this normal? if not how can I fix it?
Also my computer ran to an error where it had to delete everything except my personal files, I re-downloaded the games I had before the error and suprisingly the game I used to be able to play smoothly started lagging badly.

Microsoft display means that the OS is using a generic video driver since the apu one is not installed.

The generic driver can't make the same GPU calls as the vendor provided one, so performance will be more garbage than usual until you can install the driver.
