I've heard that graphics are better or more effeciently used on Professional. Is this just false information?? Does it really matter which one I get in terms of game playing??

Well, I used a guys laptop today that has Home, and I noticed that just on the startup screen where it says "Windows XP Home Edition" the pixels were terrible. My Pro looks way better than that on that screen. But I think it was prob. because he was using a laptop, and I have a CRT screen. But I def. did notice a difference.

yeh, it would be because on a laptop LCD the positioning of the pixels can't change, so say it as 1024x768 and the xp loading is 640x480 it would have to use l and a bit pixels to represent 1, therfore making it worse, but a CRT can just adjust automatically

There exactly the same in terms of gaming performance and picture quality. The only major differences are network related.

..or maybe your video card is different.

The main disadvantage of XP Home is that there is no remote desktop, only simple file sharing permissions and a limited access to certain administrative tools.
