graphics card color display prob

hello there

i have a prob with my display look like im 16 bit mode but im in 32 bit all my taskbar has gone white not gray how it should be it was fine b 4 i was playing quake 4 then when exited it look that i have tried a othere monitor and i have uninstall my graphic card drivers and reinstalled them i have tried a othere hard drive what got windows xp on it and dirivers my system spec is

AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.4ghz
1gb of ram
GeForce 6600 PCI Express x16 512mb

hmm thats a weird one... it sounds like theres either a problem with the card, or a setting somewhere... if its on 32-bit though it should be fine. try uninstalling/ reinstalling quake 4 maybe (if thats when it started) thats causing the problem.
 
that fixed it but still go back like itwhen i close it but changed back to how should be in like 1min it flash back then fine thanks for all the help with it
