graphics card help?

Guys, just a follow up question on my previous post.. :)

preferred system:
intel core2duo or amd x2
2 GB DDR2
250 GB hard disk
video card - still on debate?

Budget: below 800 dollars..

Ive been browsing from forum to forum but still confused on what graphics card to choose for my laptop..

I heard that Intel's GMA x3100 performance is terrible in gaming applications. Is there anyone here who can testify to this?

Anyway, I wish to play modern games like Call of Duty 4, Rainbow 6 vegas, Assassin's creed and etc.. will the Intel's GMA x3100 support this type of games in low or medium settings? is it playable?

Which of these graphics cards is suited for these games in medium settings:
NVIDIA Geforce 7150M?, ATI radeon X1200?

Or is it highly recommended that i get the Laptop with the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M? Is worth adding 150 dollar to get this Card?

the laptop with the 7150 cost $650 on the other hand the 8400 cost $800.. what you think guys?

Sorry for the questions.. im just a newbie.. thanks anyways.. :)
 
You need at the VERY LEAST a dedicated card. The 8400m is worth the extra cost. However, for your budget you are going to find that modern games WILL NOT run all that great. They should run, but not at high settings or high resolution.
