Neither card is worth anything, a Nvidia 6100 onboard would spank them till they turned pink. Dont take that serious.

lol 6100 it is then, not lol. anyway looked up some benchmarks and on average there is about 2-4 fps between them, and on some games the 8800gtx even performs better because the 9800 is 512 wheras the 8800 is 768 so in games like crysis who is memory hungry it performs on those slightly busy and action packed time . the 8800gtx from what i can see is a good solid card! maybe over a year old, but its direct x 10 compatiable, so i can play crysis , so my final specs are

Gigabyte P35-DS3L
Inte Core 2 Duo E6600
2gb Crucial Ballistix 800mhz
XFX Geforce 8800gtx 768mb

what do you guys think, i will mostly be playing in 1440-900

agreed, i have also heard VIA makes some pretty powerful chips
