graphics card problem

Hey Everybody,
I recently aquired a dell xps 8100. the video card it came with is a nvidia geforce
gt610 2gb. It seems like the computer is not recognizing the card though because I can't find it anywhere and I only have four basic non-widescreen options for screen resolution, none of which work with my 23" dell monitor that has a 1950 x 1080 native resolution. Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem?
 
Thanks for your suggestion. I did download the drivers but when they try to install I get a message that says the "drivers are not compatible with this version of windows", and "this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware."
 
Sounds like you have not downloaded the graphics driver for your operating system, go back to nvidia site and find your driver, make sure your select the driver that matches your os such as win 7 32 bit or win 7 64 bit etc.
