Graphics Card Question

I have a Dell Inspirion 530 and it only has AVG output. My new 30" monitor requires DVI.

Would installing a new graphics card solve my problem? And if so, could someone point me in the right direction as far as what to buy? Thanks.

They make cables with VGA and DVI ends, plus the make adaptors too.

I'm not positive but I think it's impossible to convert from AVG to DVI on a 30" monitor. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You could always buy a cheap video card, just for the DVI output. If you're going to be doing a whole lot of gaming, you could probably go for the 9500GT or the 9400GT. They would probably run you around $50, and you would most likely not need to upgrade the power supply.
