graphics card run speeds

i have noticed that many of the amd fm2/fm2+ boards says PCIE4 @ x4 mode next to PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots. just wondering what does that mean also says PCIE2 @ x16 next to pci express 3.0 and also what is x1 Slots for pci express 2.0. also do any fm2/fm2+ boards support more then 100 watts.

What board were you looking at? It sounds like PCIE4 and PCIE2 were just referencing the number of the specific PCIE slot.

I don't think there are any Richland/Kaveri parts over 100w TDP, although some higher end boards should facilitate overclocking to a higher degree.

It means how many lanes that particular PCIe slot has. Boards slots can have PCIe X1/ X4/ X8 and X16 lanes.

The top full PCIe slot runs at X16. The second full slot runs at X4. It has 2 PCIe X1 slots too. It has PCIe 2.0 slots. You need a FM2+ board and a Kaveri APU/CPU to get PCIe 3.0
