Graphics card upgrade

I bought a graphics card very cheap which is better than my current one. Only problem is, it doesn't have any power connectors. It is a ATI hd 2900xt and it needs a 6pin and a 8pin pci-e connector (I think). According to ATI it can handle 2 6 pins which I might get instead.

What I was wondering is if I get a molex y splitter (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/5-25-Molex-PC...nectors_RL&hash=item415210e5e6#ht_2418wt_1139) and 2 of these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLACK-20-cm-C...nnectors_RL&hash=item56419347d2#ht_1866wt_905) would there be enough power to the graphics card? And also if the product in the 2nd link would actually fit into the graphics card as I am not sure if that 6 pin is the right adapter?
By the way I am a bit of a noob when it comes to cabling and confusing stuff so be kind

Also I can give pictures of the 6 and 8 pin socket on the graphics card if anyone needs to see it :D

Many thanks for any help in advance
James

Given that this computer was designed for integrated graphics, that PSU is very very unlikely to have sufficient 12V amperaged to power that card.

Please post what exact PSU you have. Make and model.

well a 6pin to 8pin Adapator works, used it once on clients machine when he bought a 9800GX2 and his PSU only had 4 6pin connectors

Ok im confused. If you have that PSU with its 4 x 6 pin PCIe conncetors, and you claim ATi say you can put 2 of those connectors on the card, whats your question?

Sorry, but I'm a bit of noob when it comes to computers. The cable I need is a 6 pin pci-e right? And also what if the cable isn't long enough as my case is pretty big. Is there any extensions or anything?
Would 2 of these work? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/300mm-6-Pin-P...nectors_RL&hash=item415224249d#ht_2345wt_1144
And can you connect them up to make them longer as I could buy 4 or do you need something completely different?
If I'm wrong links would be very helpful.
Sorry for all the confusion guys

Yes you can use the extension, however I reckon they should be long enough. Plug two PCIe power cables into the card.
