Graphics card vs on board

Hey guys somewhat simple question. I recently rebuilt my old desktop and was wondering what I'm better off with. I have teh following components

an older 250gb sata 1 7200 rpm hdd

and this graphics card from my old build

am I better off with the on board graphics or should I bother installing this graphics card? I might use my computer for gaming but I mostly use my ps3 so its not a big deal. I built the computer mostly to have something to use CAD software for work. My netbook has been breaking my balls although it surprisingly can run the software. Rendering takes WAY too long though. I know either one will be LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than the netbook but I figure I'd use whatever you guys say.

Also much less important but similar question, on board sound or this relic:

I think thats the one I have

That video card is crap, you'd be better with the onboard. But if you want to do light gaming, look into a 6850 or equivalent. As far as the sound, unless you have a 5.1 speaker system, just stick with the onboard.
