Perhaps I should say this right up front, I am sorta computer literate. I know what the parts are inside and how to change them out. I have done some of that without problems.
I have a Gateway 510 series running at 2.9 ghz and I would like to install a better graphics card. The computer book tells me I have 3 pci slots and 1 AGP connector however I can only use 4X, 8X 3.0 cards with 0.8 volts I/O or 1X, 4X AGP 2.0 1.5v I/O. I have a Samsung 23" LCD monitor with great resolution. This may not be enough info for a suggestion for a good card. I do not play high end games.
