graphics making program

Does any1 know what program i could use to make a graphics wallpaper or like a scene like my desktop background here

or other cool graphics pictures or if possible, also a program to animate a movie with graphics. I know about maya but i suck at using it. Are their others?

hey for making wallpapers u cant go wrong with gud ol Photoshop. go to www.good-tutorials.com to find some good tutorials (oddly enough!)
